From this premise, we predict a kinship in characteristics between offspring and caregivers; this kinship should be demonstrable if caregivers impart to their children the knowledge of internal hunger cues. To explore the relationship between internal hunger and other factors, we administered a questionnaire to 111 university student offspring-primary caregiver pairs. This survey gathered information about their subjective hunger levels, in addition to moderating factors such as gender, BMI, eating attitudes, and beliefs regarding hunger.
